These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the CourtSide mobile application and website at becourtside.com, operated by Courtside App, based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. By creating an account or using CourtSide, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 16 years old to create a CourtSide account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.
CourtSide is a platform for finding and joining sports sessions with other players. By using CourtSide you agree to:
A host may set a price per person for a session to cover the cost of court hire. CourtSide does not process, collect, or hold any payment on your behalf at this time. If you join a paid session, you agree to pay the host directly, using whatever method the host specifies (for example, bank transfer or in person) — usually shared with you in the session's group chat.
CourtSide is not a party to that payment and is not responsible for collecting it, refunding it, or resolving payment disputes between a host and a player. We encourage hosts and players to agree on payment expectations before a session begins.
We plan to introduce an optional in-app payment feature in a future update, using Stripe as our payment processor. If and when that happens, these Terms will be updated to describe how in-app payments work before the feature is enabled for your account.
Please cancel your spot in a session as early as possible — ideally at least 2 hours before it starts — if you can no longer attend, so the host has a chance to fill your spot. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect your standing in the CourtSide community and, at a host's discretion, your ability to join sessions they host in future.
Because CourtSide does not currently process payments, a missed session does not result in an automatic charge from us. Any cost-sharing arrangement for a no-show is between you and the host directly.
CourtSide connects players so they can organise and join sports sessions together. We are not responsible for injuries, property damage, payment disputes, or other issues arising from a session, a venue, or interactions between players. You play, and arrange payment with other players, at your own risk.
We may suspend or remove an account that violates these Terms, harasses other users, or misuses the platform, at our discretion.
We may update these Terms from time to time, particularly as new features (like in-app payments) are introduced. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of CourtSide after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
